I do not have a CS degree – will that matter?

Fun fact: most data engineers don’t have a CS degree. Typically, data engineers come from a business analyst/data analyst background. Skills required for a data engineer and more important along with your ability to make a business impact.

Is there any guarantee?

Do you offer support or coaching?

Do I need to quit my current job to accomplish the coaching package?

It is not required. On average people spend 30-60 minutes a day but if you are able to spend more, you will move along a lot quicker.

What happens if I am not ready to start applying by month 1 or 2?

Not a problem! We set your plan to be part of a “12 week roadmap” to give you a sense of pacing. But you can move as quickly as you want to. This means that if something comes up, or you have other commitments, not a problem. We’ll stick by you until you’re ready for us to apply for you and until you get the data engineer role (or a data related role.)

How much time per week do I need to invest in this?

It’s really up to you! We recommend not skipping a day and learn data engineering – even if that means spending 10 minutes just to

do a few SQL questions. This is how you build a habit if you’re not already there – start small, and increase over

time. We’ve seen people get a job interview in week 3 and we’ve seen others start applying in month 5. But at the end of the day, we encourage you to not worry about other people’s stories as everyone’s journey is different!

What roles do you help with and what roles do you not help with?

We help with anything in the data realm such as data analytics, data engineering, cloud architects, etc. We have started to expand to TPM roles as well. The roles that we don’t help with are cybersecurity, frontend, and backend roles, and currently do not do machine learning or AI (but plan to expand to these in the future).

What is your success rate?

It’s 100% for those that don’t quit. While most will land a job well under 6 months, it’s important to remember that perseverance and hard work are needed. But as long as you don’t give up and follow our guidance, you will land the data role you want.
